What wagering means
Wagering (or play-through) is how many times you must bet the bonus amount before it becomes withdrawable. It's written like 10x or 20x.
Worked examples
| Bonus | Rule | Total bets needed |
|---|---|---|
| Rs. 100 | 5x | Rs. 500 |
| Rs. 200 | 10x | Rs. 2,000 |
| Rs. 500 | 20x | Rs. 10,000 |
These are example numbers only; real offers in the app may differ.
Other rules to check
- Expiry: days you have to complete wagering.
- Game contribution: some games may count less.
- Max bet: limits while bonus is active.
- Max cash-out: a cap on bonus winnings.
Why bonuses have wagering rules
If bonuses could be withdrawn immediately, anyone could sign up, collect free money and leave. Wagering rules make sure bonus money is actually played. Understanding this makes the rules feel less like a trick and more like a condition you can decide to accept or refuse.
A full worked example
Imagine (as an example only) that you deposit 500 and receive a 100 bonus with a 10x wagering rule on the bonus amount.
- 1Wagering needed = 100 × 10 = 1,000 in total bets.
- 2You play rounds of 20. That's 50 rounds to reach 1,000.
- 3Wins and losses happen along the way; your balance goes up and down.
- 4After 1,000 in bets, the remaining bonus (if any) becomes withdrawable.
Notice: you must bet 1,000 in total, not lose 1,000. But the more you bet, the more the house edge works against you, so reaching the target often reduces your balance.
When wagering applies to deposit + bonus
Some offers apply the rule to the deposit and bonus together. Using the same example with a 10x rule on 600 (500 + 100), you'd need 6,000 in total bets — six times more. Always check which amount the multiplier applies to.
| Rule applies to | Total bets needed (example) |
|---|---|
| Bonus only (100 × 10) | 1,000 |
| Deposit + bonus (600 × 10) | 6,000 |
Game contribution explained
Some offers count different games differently. For example, slots might count 100% while a table game counts only a portion. If a game counts 50%, a bet of 20 only adds 10 to your wagering progress. Check the bonus terms for a contribution list.
Tracking your progress
- Look for a progress bar or 'remaining wagering' figure in the bonus section.
- Take a screenshot when you start so you can compare later.
- Note the expiry date in your phone calendar.
A quick decision checklist
- 1Calculate total bets needed.
- 2Compare it with your weekly budget.
- 3Check expiry time — is it realistic?
- 4Check max bet and max win limits.
- 5If any part feels uncomfortable, decline the bonus.
Declining a bonus often means you can withdraw your own winnings freely. That flexibility is worth a lot.
Common misunderstandings
'The bonus is free money'
It's conditional money. Until wagering is complete, treat it as play credit.
'I can withdraw my deposit anytime'
With some offers, accepting a bonus locks the deposit too until wagering is finished.
'Big bonus = better deal'
A big bonus with high wagering can be harder to complete than a small one with low wagering.

Sticky vs. Non-Sticky Bonuses
In the world of online casinos, there is a big difference between 'sticky' and 'non-sticky' (or 'parachute') bonuses. A sticky bonus is one where your deposit and the bonus are locked together from the moment you start playing. You cannot withdraw any money until the wagering is 100% complete. If you try to withdraw early, the bonus and any winnings will be cancelled. This is the most common type of offer you will find.
A non-sticky bonus is much more player-friendly. In this case, you play with your real money first. If you win while using your real money, you can withdraw your winnings and simply 'forfeit' the bonus without ever having to worry about wagering. The wagering rules only kick in if your real money balance hits zero and you start playing with the bonus funds. While non-sticky bonuses are rarer, they are the gold standard for players. Always check the terms to see which type you are dealing with.
Handling Multiple Active Bonuses
What happens if you have a welcome bonus active and you claim a daily login reward? In most cases, the app will 'queue' the bonuses. You must finish the wagering for the first bonus before the second one even begins to count. This can be dangerous if the first bonus has a long wagering requirement and the second one has a short expiry date. The second bonus might expire before you even get a chance to start wagering it.
Finish one bonus completely before claiming another. If the app allows you to 'pause' a bonus, do so, but generally, it is safer to keep your bonus dashboard clean to avoid confusing the wagering progress bars.
The Restricted Games Pitfall
Not all games are created equal when it comes to bonuses. Even if a game 'contributes' 100%, it might be on a 'restricted' list. Playing restricted games while a bonus is active can sometimes lead to the bonus being voided entirely. Common restricted games include high-RTP (Return to Player) slots or specific versions of Roulette. The casino does this to prevent players from using low-risk strategies to 'clear' a bonus without actually gambling.
Before you start playing, check the 'Bonus Terms and Conditions' for a list of excluded games. It is a heartbreaking experience to bet 5,000 only to realize none of it counted toward your wagering requirement because you were playing a restricted game. If you are unsure, stick to the most popular slots, as these almost always count for 100% of the wagering.
Why There is a Max Bet Limit
Almost every bonus comes with a 'Max Bet' rule, often around 500 or 1,000 PKR per round. This is to stop players from doing one massive bet to try and hit a huge win, which would then make the remaining wagering very easy to finish. If you accidentally place a bet higher than the max limit, the system might not stop you, but it might flag your account during the withdrawal process.
Automated systems check your betting history when you request a withdrawal. If they see bets exceeding the bonus limit, they may deny the payout based on 'breach of terms'. Always double-check your bet slider before clicking. If you want to play for high stakes, it is better to do so with your own deposited funds without an active bonus. For more on managing your funds, see the How to Deposit guide.
Volatility and Wagering Progress
Volatility refers to how often a game pays out and how big those payouts are. High-volatility games pay out rarely but offer big wins. Low-volatility games pay out small amounts frequently. For wagering, low-volatility games are generally better. They keep your balance steady, allowing you to place more total bets over a longer period. High-volatility games can empty your bonus balance quickly, leaving you with zero before you have completed even 10% of the wagering.
Think of wagering as a marathon, not a sprint. The goal isn't to hit a jackpot; the goal is to keep your balance alive long enough to reach the total betting target. Once the bonus converts to real cash, then you can switch to higher-risk games if you choose. This strategic approach is what separates experienced players from beginners who lose their bonus within minutes.
Managing the Bonus Expiry Clock
Most bonuses expire within 7 to 30 days. This might seem like a long time, but if you have a 30x wagering requirement on a large bonus, you might need to place thousands of bets. If you only play for 10 minutes a day, you will never finish in time. Before accepting a bonus, do a quick calculation: 'How many bets do I need to place per day to finish this?'
If the number is too high for your normal schedule, don't accept the bonus. Forcing yourself to play more than you want to just to 'save' a bonus is a recipe for stress and bad decision-making. Responsible gaming means playing on your terms, not the app's terms. If you find the clock is stressing you out, you can often contact support to 'forfeit' the bonus and return to normal play. More details on account management can be found in our about section.
Is a bonus worth it?
A small bonus with low wagering is easier to complete than a big one with high wagering. If completing it would push you beyond your budget, skip it.
